A product of an international upbringing, Christina began her sailing career at age 8 on Martha’s Vineyard at the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club, where she immediately fell in love with the sport.  She sailed competitively and taught sailing throughout her junior years, and also developed proficiencies in other sports, including windsurfing, skiing, and mountain biking.  A natural athlete, Christina swam competitively at her alma mater, Carnegie Mellon, which did not have a sailing team.  She has subsequently found enjoyment and success as a triathlete and in long distance obstacle course races.

Returning to sailing after college, Christina began racing Laser Radials, first in local and regional regattas, then joined the Lauderdale High Performance Race Team. Her mastery soon took her to U.S. national and European competitions as well as a world championship; she produced some of her best results in the laser in 2012 and 2014.  Christina then had success racing in the F18 catamaran class during 2016 and 2017.  Among other awards, she placed first in the New England 100 Multi-Hull Distance Race in Newport, RI in August 2016.  When the Nacra 17 was announced as a new Olympic class, Christina knew she was made for this boat as it demands a rare combination of teamwork, physical endurance, and the need for speed.  She and her teammate recently finished as the top American boat and ninth overall at the Sailing World Cup in Miami, January 2018.  Always ready for a challenge, she has also done long distance sailing between New York and Bermuda Distance (2012), biked up Mt Washington (claimed has having the steepest hill-climb in the world), and has participated in solo distance sailing.

Professionally, Christina is an experience design consultant in the enterprise and startup technology field.  She holds degrees in Industrial Design and Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University, and studied in the Executive Education program at the Harvard Business School.  Christina is active in the Newport, RI and south Florida sailing communities, affiliated with Sail Newport and the Lauderdale Yacht Club, and is a member of the US Sailing Team.  #NoLimits
